Watauga Crimestoppers
By Melanie Davis

The Watauga County Crimestoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for the breaking and entering of four Boone businesses.

Sometime between late Wednesday night and the early morning hours of Thursday, Hardees on Blowing Rock Road, Alray’s Tire on Realty Row, Hair Creations on N.C. 105 Extension and Home Antiques and Interiors on Blowing Rock Road were entered by a person(s) forcing open an exterior door.

In each location, undisclosed amounts of cash were reported stolen. At the Hardees location, entry was attempted, but failed, to a large safe.

As of Thursday morning, investigators with the Boone Police Department said it is unclear if the four incidents are related. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at (828) 268-6959 or the BPD at (828) 268-6900. All information will be kept confidential.

Crimestoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.
