March 29
Brian Douglas Whittington, 19, of 7235 Gingercake Road, Jonas Ridge, was arrested on view on charges of driving while impaired, driving after consuming alcohol while underage and driving left of center. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported at a residence on the 300 block of Hodges Valley Road in Boone. The vehicle was entered and an iPod, iPod charger and prescription medication were reported stolen.
March 30
Randy Aaron Smith, 20, of 826 Lawerence Greene Road, Deep Gap, was arrested on view on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15 in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.
Curtis Len Moore, 41, of 337 Junaluska Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Wilkes County on charges of driving while license revoked and a registration violation. He was also served an order for arrest for failure to appear in superior court in Boone on a charge of felony probation violation. Moore was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center under a secured $10,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in superior court in Boone on May 28 and in district court in Wilkesboro on June 10.
Timothy Ray Watson, 20, of 229 The Glade Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of communicating threats. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on April 17.
Larceny was reported at a residence on the 600 block of Farthing Hayes Road in Boone. The victim reported renters took unspecified property upon vacating the premises.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Hodges Valley Road in Boone. The victim reported an amplifier, 12-disc CD changer, an iPod, two pairs of sunglasses and approximately 300 CDs were stolen from the vehicle.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny were reported on the 100 block of Poplar Creek Estates in Todd. The victim reported the door of the home had been damaged and a pistol, DVD player and prescription medication were stolen.
March 31
James Allen Moretz, 30, of 390 Len Moretz Road, Boone, was served with a warrant on a charge of communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 17 in lieu of an unsecured $500 bond.
Jeffery Michael Calloway, 31, of 158 Rush Branch Road, Sugar Grove, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of second degree trespassing, harassing phone calls and assault on a female. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of an unsecured $1,500 bond.
Hannah Chelsea Limpert, 22, of 2455 Linville Creek Road, Apt. 1, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of obtaining money and/or property by false pretense. She is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of an unsecured $1,500 bond.
Adam Michael Barnes, 19, of 239 East Residence Hall, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of threatening phone calls. He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 13 in lieu of a written promise bond.
Debra Johnson Devirgilis, 47, of 137 Calebway Road, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on charges of three counts of felony fraud by obtaining money and/or property by false pretense. She is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of an unsecured $7,500 bond.
Jonathan Pleasant, 20, of 107 Patton Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of communicating threats. He is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1 in lieu of an unsecured bond.
Jacob Grange Shook, 25, of 476 Hardaman Circle, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Catawba County on a charge of driving while license revoked. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court in Newton on April 29 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Harassment was reported by a resident of Roby Eggers Road in Zionville. The victim reported a person repeatedly calling and stopping by the home.
Larceny was reported at a construction site on the 700 block of Bethel Road in Sugar Grove. Tools and a Dewalt radio were reported stolen.
Breaking and entering were reported at a residence on the 2400 block of Stone Mountain Road in Bethel. The victim suspected an outbuilding had been entering, though nothing was reported stolen.
A simple physical assault was reported on Monteagle Drive in Boone. The victim reported having been punched in the abdomen.
Stolen property was recovered in open land areas on the 100 block of Aho Road in Blowing Rock. A person reported finding a large quantity of mail.
April 1
Christopher Curtis Lilly, 18, of 174 Cornerstone Lane, Deep Gap, was served with an order for arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on April 23 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
William Brandon Homeier, 36, of 1455 Laurel Branch Road, Vilas, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of simple physical assault and criminal damage to property by vandalism. He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 17 in lieu of an unsecured $1,000 bond.
Daniel Steven Desmarais, 25, of 130 Will T. Baird Road, Boone, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear at a scheduled court date in Avery County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Newland district court on May 7 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
April 2
Justin Kevin Anderson, 19, of 134 Beck Lane, Boone, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of assault on a female. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Ural Carson Killmon, 41, of 1228 Powder Horn Mountain, Deep Gap, was served with a warrant for arrest on a charge of trespassing. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on May 15 in lieu of a secured $300 bond.
Brandy Nichole Johnson, 23, of 159 Monteagle Drive, Boone, was served with a criminal summons on a charge of assault and battery. She is scheduled to appear in district court on May 1.
Daniel Allen Harold, 36, of 397Riverview Drive, Johnson City, Tenn., was served with a warrant concerning extradition as a fugitive from justice. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in district court on April 3.
Nathan Daniel Shook, 35, of 10221 N.C. 105 South, Banner Elk, was served with an order for arrest for failure to appear in district court in Avery County. He was placed in the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Newland district court on May 7 in lieu of a secured $500 bond.
Criminal damage to property was reported at a service station on the 2700 block of Linville Creek Road. The victim reported a person backed a vehicle into another vehicle.
